Mission

C&R’s mission is to develop C2P as the easiest and most efficient way for any company to manage regulatory compliance. We make it easy for you to make quick decisions about regulations that affect your business.

History

C&R was started in 2000 by Damien McGovern, an Irish Barrister who formerly worked for Deloitte & Touche. Deluged by the EU legal journals being delivered daily to his desk, Damien conceived a more efficient way to assess the risks of proposed and adopted laws, and a better way to disseminate that information to clients. His experience with legal, regulatory, and compliance issues, and his understanding of their complexity, spawned the idea of C2P.

Location

C&R has its headquarters in Cork, Ireland and its software development team in the UK and northern California. The company’s growing team of domain experts includes lawyers in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, and Asia.

Methodology

C&R adheres to a software development methodology that incorporates agile programming techniques. These techniques embrace change and produce a flexible architecture and functionality that continually improve through user feedback. As a result, C&R can deliver new releases of C2P on a quarterly schedule.

	Damien McGovern Chairman, CEO		Pat Lynch Finance Director
Damien developed the original idea for C2P based on his experience in the area of legal compliance. Prior to founding C&R, Damien did regulatory intelligence work in Brussels where he worked for seven years at Deloitte in tax and legal.		Before he became the initial investor in C&R, Pat founded Microtech Cleanroom Services in 1998. Pat previously worked as the finance director and controller for the Irish operations of U.S. multinationals Seagate Technology and Summit Technology.
Team Leaders
	Mark Walk Chief Operating Officer		Paul McGovern Business Development
Mark has over 30 years of international experience in the electronics industry working for LSI, AT&T, Tandem Computers and NCR. Mark is APICS certified and has an MBA in business.		Paul heads up the business development side of C2P for Compliance and Risks from C&R’s US base in California. In 1998, he founded ISPtel, an internet telephony company that had gateway partners in 15 countries. Prior to that, Paul helped grow JPS, a local ISP, to become a national Internet provider with a staff of 150 and offices on Wall Street in three years.
	Sarah-Jane Denton Legal Data Services		Vladimir Strugatsky Technology & Product Design
Sarah-Jane has a law degree from the University of Reading and an LPC from Guildford College of Law. She began her career with the London law firm, Baker & McKenzie, where she worked on intellectual property, European law, and corporate litigation. Sarah-Jane interprets compliance regulations for C&R and assesses their impact on businesses.		Vladimir was born in the Ukraine and moved to the US in 1989. A former professional chess player, he studied at Kharkov State University and Stanford University. Vladimir has worked on prestigious software projects for Apple, NASA, and Hewlett Packard. He is the primary designer of C2P and manages the development team.
	Paul Harvey US Sales		Denis Carre EMEA Asia Pacific Sales
Paul has over 20 years experience on Wall Street selling financial products to large institutional clients. He has been a CEO, CFO, executive director, and management consultant for several small companies. Paul has an MBA in finance, is a former certified PMI consultant, and is skilled in the practice of the theory of constraints (TOC).		Denis has a background in Business Studies and Management. Prior to joining C&R, Denis has worked for a number of Fortune 500 companies within the IT and telecommunications sector in account management and sales roles. Most recently, Denis served as an Exclusive Services Account Manager for Symantec Corporation.
	Rachel O’Donnell EMEA Asia Pacific Sales		Sean Murphy Supply Chain Compliance
Rachel has a Business Management Degree from the University of Greenwich and a postgraduate from The Chartered Instititue of Marketing (CIM). She has over 10 years international business experience in the electronics sector having worked extensively throughout Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia and the Middle East in the data storage sector. Most recently she was VP of Sales in the Telecoms Sector for EMEA.		Sean has over 20 years experience in the electronics manufacturing sector. He has extensive senior management experience in Supply Chain Management and Finance roles. Previous companies he worked for include Western Digital, Dover Corporation and most recently Flextronics International. Sean holds a finance degree.
