ECHA Launches New CLH Consultation for 10 Copper Compounds


The European Chemicals Agency, ECHA, has launched a harmonized classification and labeling (CLH) consultation for 10 copper compounds.

These compounds are active substances in biocidal or plant protection products and are widely used as fungicidal and bacteriostatic substances in both agricultural and marine environment. The proposals are looking to classify the compounds as hazardous to the aquatic environment as well as acutely toxic and/or irritants. The consultation phase will end on 3 February 2014.
