Overview
This webinar will examine similarities and differences between US and European export control legislation, and will consider that a business compliant with notoriously stringent US rules cannot assume itself to be compliant in the EU.

David Hayes has many years experience in export controls from an industry and regulator’s perspective. In 2007, recognising an increasing demand from industry, especially in relation to UK companies having to deal with US controls, he established his own consultancy. David is also a senior advisor and director of UK affairs with the Washington DC based consultancy, MK Technology.  David is a widely recognised expert in his field and a regular speaker at national and international export control events.

Ross Denton is a partner in the Baker & McKenzie’s European Community, Competition & Trade Department in London and a member of the Japanese Practice Group. He also served as coordinator of the Firm’s International Trade & WTO Practice Group. Ross routinely advises US and Japanese multinationals on EU and UK competition matters and international trade law issues. He focuses on public regulations of international trade, export controls, public procurement and customs matters.
