Japan Publishes Draft Amendment on Export Approval of Lead Acid Batteries
The Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) recently published an amendment related to approving export of specified hazardous waste. It introduces approval standards for export approval of lead acid batteries for OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) member countries, as well as requirements on application documents.
All public comments can be submitted via the METI website (deadline: March 8, 2017).
