Taiwan Publishing Labeling Criteria for Electrical and Electronic Products

iphone-1852901_960_720An Announcement on Labeling Criteria of Electrical and Electronic Products was published recently by The Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, setting out the requirements for both the content and form of labels for software, hardware, supplies and components.

All hardware and software product labels must now include specific product information, such as name and model, total power consumption, country or region or production, specification, and more, and the same goes for components and supplies labels.

Labels must be indelibly affixed to the product itself, packaging and instructions, and should be clearly visible, and should meet the national/international standards. All imported products must keep the original label.

The announcement will enter into force on March 8, 2018.
