Global Requirements Analyst

Purpose:

Global responsibility for monitoring, entering and maintaining Requirements (extracted from Regulations and Standards) into the Requirements Management Platform in response to business needs. As a Global Requirements Analyst, you will be a key member of the Global Requirements Team which is responsible for monitoring and maintaining global regulatory requirements that are set out in Regulations and Standards in C2P, our compliance knowledge management platform, on a wide range of topics.

This is a new team set up to provide our clients with more ‘granular’ level requirements detail in applicable Regulations and Standards. Requirements are live-linked to Regulations, Standards and all other requirements, allowing for easy revisions and tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

Entry of Requirements

  • Review and interpret enacted Regulations and Standards in order to quickly identify and extract applicable enacted and/or draft Requirements for entry/update. In some cases, this may involve comparing existing Requirements with new or proposed Requirements
  • Enter regulatory and standard requirements in line with established data entry conventions
  • Build and maintain master level Requirements based on the information in the individual Requirements
  • Ensure all information uploaded is accurate and exhibits a keen attention to detail
  • Pay particular attention to Requirements that are based on foreign language sources by using online translation tools to pull out key details to enable Requirements users to determine relevance of the particular requirements to their business
  • Work with the Global Requirements Team Manager to ensure that Requirements on the Requirements Platform are tagged to the appropriate sources in C2P in order to generate alerts. If the applicable source is not in the C2P database, liaise with the appropriate persons to determine if the source should be entered into C2P and tagged to the relevant Requirement thereafter
  • Work with the Global Requirements Team Manager in the development and ongoing maintenance of data entry conventions for the entry of the regulatory and standard requirement content

Monitoring and Maintenance of Requirements

  • Review of daily email alerts via C2P on regulatory changes to existing Regulations and Standards to determine if new Requirements need to be added to Platform or existing Requirements should be updated
  • Monitor regulatory developments for specified countries and product groups/categories via Regulatory Update and Expert Comments received via C2P alerts, ‘watching’ various C2P Projects as well as various other online monitoring tools
  • Ensure a comprehensive and reliable bank of sources of regulatory information is built up and maintained to ensure effective and optimal monitoring for responsible countries and product groups/categories
  • Utilize automatic monitoring tools to maximize the efficient and prompt capture of regulatory information
  • Assist in the establishment, development and maintenance of monitoring procedures for the Requirements team

Research

  • Ability to utilize a wide variety of research databases and online resources

Database Content

  • Possess a knowledge and understanding of all areas of coverage in C2P and and the Requirements platform
  • Work with the Global Requirements Team Manager in identifying potential improvements / changes to the Requirements platform

Process Improvements

  • Actively engage in ongoing changes to Requirements processes in order to improve team efficiency as well as proactively contributing ideas and suggestions for improvement. This will involve active participation in establishment and maintenance of monitoring procedures and data entry conventions for the Requirements team
  • Add value to the development of quality control processes to ensure the accuracy, comprehensiveness and reliability of the information

Prior Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree, at a minimum, preferably Law or Library Science
  • Experience in compliance and a regulatory and standard environment highly desirable; this would be essential if the person does not have a Law or Library Science Degree
  • Direct client facing experience preferable and proven ability to build relationships with clients and other internal departments to “win together”
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail: the successful candidate must be comfortable reviewing large numbers of Regulations and Standards in order to extract applicable Requirements. The role involves absorbing and comprehending large amounts of information, then distilling them down into granular level legal requirements of specific relevance to a particular client
  • Product-specific focus: ability to promptly and efficiently review Regulations and Standards in order to extract Requirements applicable to a specific client product category / type
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills: the ability to write and present key Requirements in a concise, accessible and easy to understand manner
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and monitor tasks in a systematic and organised way
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver work against strict deadlines to high quality standards
  • Strong information technology skills and experience and proficient in the use of computers; SaaS experience a plus
  • Understanding of Data Structures in Enterprise Systems
  • Experienced researcher: ability to research quickly, effectively and in multiple languages
  • Ability to both work independently and as part of a team
  • Language skills preferred, but not essential
