Joanne O’ Donnell, Head of Global Compliance, Compliance & Risks
With 21 years of post-qualification experience, Joanne heads up the Global Regulatory Compliance team at Compliance and Risks. She has extensive national and international legal experience in private practice, in-house, and industry and has been with Compliance and Risks for over 12 years. She helps support its clients with their global legal compliance challenges with a particular interest and focus on Sustainability, ESG, Climate Change, Human Trafficking, and Slavery as well as Business and Human Rights.
Joanne has a Bachelor of Arts (Legal and French) and a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland as well as a Masters in International Law (LLM) from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, Switzerland. She also has a Masters Degree in French from the University of Limerick, Ireland. She recently completed a Masters course in Business and Human Rights at the University of Bergen, Norway. She qualified as a Solicitor with the Law Society of Ireland in 2003.

Danny is a seasoned leader with over twenty-five years of experience in software development, professional services, and growth leadership, specializing in Product Compliance and Sustainability. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Compliance & Risks, Danny has partnered with over 150 corporate leaders to implement best-in-class solutions and technologies.
Starting his career at Motorola and transitioning to financial services and Fintech, Danny has brought significant advances in RegTech to the manufacturing industry over the past eight years. He has guided leading global brands in developing and implementing transformative regulatory compliance programs, leveraging modern technology and expertise to drive sustainability.

Joe Rizzo, Director of Product Recall Solutions, Sedgwick
Joe brings more than ten years of experience in delivering strategic, high-impact solutions to help clients navigate
complex product recalls, planning and risk scenarios.
Prior to joining Sedgwick, Joe built his career in the consumer and medical device industry, with his latest role at Samsung Electronics America within customer care. There, he led Governance; Planning initiatives focused on risk management and compliance across the U.S. and Canada operations. He later transitioned to Product Liability and Safety, where he managed product safety, high-risk claims, recalls, escalations, new product launch, and post-market surveillance while crafting strategies to mitigate regulatory exposure.
Throughout his career, Joe has worked closely with organizations to enhance crisis preparedness, develop advanced risk sensing strategies, and response capabilities. His expertise spans product safety, recall execution, escalation management, recovery planning and brand protection in the face of emerging threats. He is also an active member of the Society of Product Safety Professionals (SPSP), staying engaged with the latest innovations and best
practices in product safety.


Patricia Weathers, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Compliance & Risks
Patricia brings over ten years working in Quality Compliance and Assurance for automotive components and medical device manufacturers, and is a Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
Prior to working in Quality-related roles, she provided research and information services at the US academic level and also coordinated corporate training development.
