close-up-equipment-hand-1321725On 17 September 2019, the New Zealand Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority published a number of information sheets and guidance documents relating to various products.

The information sheets set out the requirements for meeting minimum energy performance standards (MEPS) or mandatory energy performance labeling (MEPL) / energy rating labeling (ERL) for these products. These documents provide a useful checklist for those who import or manufacture these products in New Zealand.

  • Computers and laptops
  • Computer Monitors
  • Dishwashers
  • Air conditioners
  • Refrigerated Cabinets
  • Refrigerated Display Cabinets

  • Fluorescent Lamps
  • Set Top Boxes
  • Three-Phase Cage Induction Motors
  • Heat Pumps
  • Chillers
  • Household Refrigeration

The guidance documents set out the voluntary pre-registration requirements for refrigerated cabinets and electric motors.
