Purpose:

While C2P, our compliance knowledge management platform, is well established, we are creating new products at a fast pace and this is an exciting time to join an expanding team. As Product Manager you will own one of our C2P product suite lines from inception to delivery and your main goal will be to maximize value to customers and reach revenue targets set. You will be part of a Product Management team that manages C2P, and you will have P&L responsibility for your line of the product.

As a Product Manager you will be expected to:

  • Research, understand and leverage the market dynamics, trends and competitive landscape
  • Gain & maintain an in-depth knowledge of the customer:  personas, pain points, challenges
  • Develop a domain expertise about the technology and content that are available to you
  • Create and maintain the Business Cases that will help deliver C2P’s vision and goals
  • Design and drive a product strategy in the form of a product roadmap
  • Establish the right metrics that will allow measuring success and setting the right actions
  • Manage the ideation process to ensure the product backlog captures key feedback
  • Document items in an agile user story format
  • Represent your product as Product Owner within the scrum team
  • Manage your C2P product line backlog by continuously refining and prioritizing the items
  • Collaborate with marketing in establishing USP, price and messaging
  • Agree commercial targets and tactics with sales
  • Meet the revenue targets that will be set for your product line

Key Responsibilities:

Value Proposition and Roadmap

  • Build (and help inform) business cases, so that you clearly establish how we are going to address the opportunities selected in the market research
  • Define and justify the Product Initiatives that will fulfill the expectations set in the business cases, so that you can set the direction of the Product
  • Design/Inform the Product Roadmap, so that we have a clear strategy of how to best deliver our Product Initiatives
  • Track the Product Roadmap with the right KPIs, so that you can report back on progress and level of goal attainment

Customer Knowledge and User Analytics

  • Establish the right network of customer feedback via Clients, Customer Service, Sales and other stakeholders, so that you can structure and order incoming feedback
  • Use and improve the existing usage KPIs, so that you can drive an evidence-based decision-making process for your product’s evolution
  • Collaborate with the UX/UI team in creating and maintaining User personas and User Journey maps, so that there is a clear understanding of the gaps and opportunities

Technology and Content

  • Work closely with technology so that you can best leverage the existing capabilities to design improved functionality and user experience
  • Understand the content structure, connections and layers of intelligence, so that you can best design the scope of your product

Ideation and Backlog Management

  • Manage and organize the influx of ideas, so that they can be connected with your current and future Product Initiatives
  • Take on the role of the scrum Product Owner, owning the continuous prioritization of your backlog, and participating with the scrum team in all the appropriate ceremonies, so that the development team is continuously delivering the maximum possible value
  • Communicate continuously with all stakeholders, so that there is a 360-degree awareness of progress and decision-making

Market Assessment

  • Analyse the market size, segments, dynamics and competitive landscape, so that you can inform your product line strategy
  • Establish a strong domain expertise around potential content areas in the industries we address, so that you can inform the business cases and derive a clear content roadmap
  • Leverage the marketing research team’s know-how and capabilities, so that you can produce powerful and well-aligned conclusions

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Own the full design of the Value Proposition, so that the organisation has clear guidance from you on pricing, deal structure and service level agreement
  • Collaborate with marketing in creating the Go-To-Market strategy, so that the Value Proposition (product, pricing, deal structure and service level agreement) is clearly and effectively communicated to target customers
  • Commit to your revenue goal and agree sales objectives with the commercial team, so that you can best leverage their capacity to deliver both new and renewed sales

Prior Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years’ experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner developing, enhancing and delivering software products that ideally have content at the core of their value proposition
  • Experienced working collaboratively with design and software development teams in an agile scrum development environment
  • Comfortable in managing relationships with key stakeholders, and in communicating product strategy and vision
  • Experienced in managing products across the entire lifecycle, from ideation, strategy, delivery, launch, right through to the end of a product lifecycle
  • B.Sc. or Master’s in Computer Science, Business or a similar related area is beneficial
